Halloween Day: Washington Street Fundraiser

October 19, 2010

The gentlemen at TypicalCulture.com are always pitching in for the local skate community. This Halloween you can have fun and help raise some funds for the Washington Street skatepark.  According to Wikipedia, “Halloween is first attested in the 16th century and represents a Scottish variant of the fuller All-Hallows-Even (“evening”), that is, the night before All Hallows Day. Up through the early 20th century, the spelling “Hallowe’en” was frequently used, eliding the “v” and shortening the word.” Who’s going to step up and win the Best Trick in A Costume Contest? Be there.

Overdose: Connor Getzlaff

April 5, 2010

There are a few new skaters out there that have a calm yet aggressive style which somehow makes you want to go skate every time you see it on video. Connor Getzlaff is definitely one of those skaters.  His crew used to call him “Skooter”, and it’s obvious that he has grown out of his nickname. Watch his latest video part to see why Broadcast is backing him.
